Men have been conditioned since day one by society to be as emotionless as possible. Showing their feelings, or any type of passion, is seen as a sign of weakness, or so that’s what they are told. That means that when your boyfriend wants to leave you high and dry, you might never see it coming. However, we feel we know enough about the male brain to let you know about a few simple signs to look for if you’re worried about getting dumped. After all the Cherry Hill singles dating scene is no easy feat.

Today, our South Jersey matchmakers are going to show you the warning sign’s he’ll break your heart.

1. He can’t keep eye contact with you.

This is a big sign to look for if you’re worried that your boyfriend is going to dump you. When a person sees something or someone they don’t like, they look the other way. Seeing a person you want to break up with gives you an awful feeling, and people would rather not look at them.

So if your boyfriend has trouble looking at you, that’s a huge sign he’s having doubts about the relationship.

This is even more of an obvious sign if he has trouble looking at you in the eyes. Keep an eye on him and see if he can maintain eye contact for more than just a few seconds. If he can’t, then he’s probably feeling guilty about what he’s going to do.

2. He doesn’t introduce you as his girlfriend.

For some guys, having a beautiful girlfriend can be a status symbol. Having a wonderful, beautiful and charming girlfriend by their side can make a guy look like he has everything in life, or at least that’s how he feels. But if he wasn’t proud of the woman next to him, he would never introduce her as his girlfriend.

So if your boyfriend doesn’t like to introduce you as his girlfriend and only introduces you as a “friend” or merely says your name, you might have something to worry about.

Although it might seem like it’s pretty shallow to view women as a status symbol, we want to remind you that you probably do the same thing with the men you date. Who can honestly tell us that having a great and attractive boyfriend isn’t something to be proud of? Well, put yourself in the guy’s shoes, and suddenly it becomes clear why he doesn’t introduce you to the people he loves. He doesn’t plan on having you as a girlfriend much longer.

3. He says he’s not looking for anything serious.

Okay, it’s very rare that relationships that start off as non-committal and casually evolve into something meaningful. But, generally speaking, if a guy tells you that he wants to keep things casual or he only wants to be friends with benefits, that mean he’s only interested in conquering you and moving on to someone else. That’s what we get from those words. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that he will one day fall in love with you or want to take the relationship to the next level.

Most people decide how they feel about someone within the first few minutes of meeting them. If he tells you from the start that he doesn’t want to have anything serious, you need to believe him.

4. He had his heart broken in the past.

Guys can get hurt just like women can. We know because we’ve helped many guys overcome breakups. However, what really matters is that they learn to move on and put that pain behind them. Some people just can’t do that, and both men and women can turn to some pretty disturbing behaviors to try to deal with their past relationships. We are talking about revenge here.

It can be pretty easy to take your anger out on people who haven’t done anything to you. Some men who have been hurt in the past take their anger out on other women as revenge. If you meet a guy who’s had his heart broken recently, you’d better make sure he’s completely over it.
