Not all relationships will last forever, and that’s a true fact.  Sometimes, the man you thought was perfect ends up being the wrong guy for you.  But the good thing is that you can easily spot the warning signs when a man is losing interest.  When he starts losing interest in the relationship, you might try to pull him back.

You might do something drastic and change your looks.  You might become more outgoing and friendly or put up with anything, even lousy treatment.  You might believe that doing things to please him will keep him around.  But is it really worth it?

If a man starts to lose interest early on, it’s time to cut him loose.  He clearly doesn’t want to be with you, so why would you want to be with him?  You shouldn’t fight for a guy who doesn’t want to be with you because you deserve much more from a man.

Today, our Cherry Hill upscale matchmakers are going to show you the telltale signs he’s losing interest in you and the relationship.  Don’t waste another day trying to pull him back.  Cut your losses and get out there and find a loving man who is right for you.

1. He’s always on the phone when you’re together.

You’ve been waiting all week for him to come see you, and when he finally does, you expect him to spend time catching up with you.  But what does he do instead?  He spends all day on the phone.

For a few hours, he sat on the sofa and talked to someone else, making you feel unworthy of his time.  It was so rude and disrespectful you felt really uncomfortable.  You could have done many other things with your time but choose to spend your day with him.  Then, when he finally got off the phone, he told you it was important and that he had to take it.  He brushed it off like it was no big deal.

2. He forgot how to be kind and affectionate

Normally, the early stages of the relationship are the time when both partners are lovey dovey together.  However, every time you try to be lovey with him, he pulls away.  What happened to him?  Why doesn’t he want to be near you anymore?  Because he is starting to lose interest in you.

Sometimes, men lose interest out of nowhere.  Maybe he saw something in you that he doesn’t like, or maybe there is another woman in the picture.  Either way, if you notice he’s no longer lovey with you—no matter how hard you try—it’s time to open your eyes as to why.

3. He interrupts you midsentence.

Your boss has been a jerk all week and you can’t wait to tell him the story.  You start to tell him what’s going on at work, you get five words in only to be interrupted with his story.

A few days later, you go to his place to try to tell him an important story about your dog’s vet appointment and he does it again!  Furthermore, he doesn’t even ask how you’ve been doing lately, so you decide to volunteer the info yourself and he cuts you off, yet again.

This didn’t just happen twice, it’s been happening for the last two weeks.  He clearly doesn’t care about what’s going on in your life, and you don’t want to date someone who doesn’t care about you.

4. He goes to things on his own.

As professional matchmakers, we know how important it is to continue doing things on your own; however, if your boyfriend is starting to make plans without you all the time, then there is something going on.  It is the weekend, the usual time you and your boyfriend get together, but your phone hasn’t rang.  The weekend goes by and you hear nothing.  But all of the sudden, you’re bombarded on Facebook by pictures of all the things he did without you.

This is the third weekend he’s done something without you, and you had to find out via Facebook.  You don’t even know who he’s hanging out with lately unless you see pictures on Facebook.

5. He doesn’t make eye contact anymore.

You want to look deep into his beautiful blue eye but can’t because every time you try, he quickly pulls away.  You remember how it felt to look into his eyes because it made you melt to the ground in the beginning stages of dating.  Since he never locks eye contact with you, you can’t experience those feelings anymore.

There could be a hundred things going on in his mind, but it could also mean he’s pulling away from you and trying to become distant.  As professional matchmakers, we know that when a guy doesn’t know how to end the relationship, he’ll simply become distant.  As sad as that sounds, it happens a lot.

6. He’s suddenly into new things.

He always had time for you on the weekends, even though he had a full-time job and hobbies and interests.  Then, all of the sudden, he started spending less and less time with you because he’s gaining more interests now.  Whenever you call him, he tells you he’s doing something new.  He’s either working on the basement, fixing something on his car, or going to see a grandmother you never knew existed.

Sometimes men use things as a shield because they don’t know how to break up with their girlfriends.  It is a guy’s way of ending the relationship without talking about it.

7. You start to hear gossip.

A clear sign your man is losing interest in you is when you start to hear rumors from friends.  Reports start coming in that they’ve seen your boyfriend with another woman or that he’s always complaining about the relationship.

The worst thing is when single women come and ask you if you’re still dating.  If this is the case, they could be trying to gauge where you stand so they can make a move on him.  If rumors are starting to develop, then it’s clear your boyfriend has lost interest in you.

8. He stands you up often.

Last night, you called him and told him that you were free for lunch.  He said he would come and pick you up to go to your favorite restaurant.  You wait and wait for him and he never shows up.  Unfortunately, it seems to be happening all the time.  In fact, he’s been standing you up a lot lately.  The sad fact is, when a man loses interest, he will stand you up.  It’s sad that some men just don’t know how to end a relationship the mature way.

Ladies, how many of these signs do you see in your man and your relationship?  If a few too many hit home, it’s time to kick him to the curb!
