Today, our Moorestown dating and relationship specialists here at South Jersey Matchmakers will teach you 10 simple ways to put a smile on your partner’s face.

Sometimes, you just want to do something romantic to put a smile on your partner’s face. Today, our South Jersey Matchmakers will teach you exactly how to accomplish that. Today, we’ll reveal some simple things you can do that will put a smile on your boyfriend or girlfriend’s face.

1. 10 Things I Love about You

Who doesn’t like to hear a compliment? Nobody, right? Well, sometimes, just telling your partner that they look good isn’t going to cut it or make them feel special. Instead, you need to do a little more and show them how much you love them. You can do this by writing ten things you love about them. Write each reason on a different piece of paper, then hide the little handwritten compliments in places you know they’ll see them, like in their makeup bag, under their pillow, in their glove box, or on the bathroom mirror. The trick here is not to tell your partner you have hidden these cute little messages for them; you want to let them discover them by themselves.

2. A Hot Pair of Pajamas

It’s always the little things that make us truly happy, and there is nothing nicer than coming out of a hot shower into a nice hot pair of PJs. To make your partner’s pajamas warm, put them in the dryer five minutes before they come out of the shower. If your partner doesn’t wear pajamas, don’t worry. You can heat their towel up, and hand it to them when they’re done with their shower.

3. Kiss Them & Be Mysterious

Surprise can be your number one friend when trying to put a smile on your partner’s face. Walk right up to them and give them a kiss like you did when you were first dating; however, when you’re done kissing them, immediately walk away. Couples often stop making out with each other and showing affection once they are already comfortable together, but our Moorestown dating and relationship experts want you to do little gestures like this to bring that spark back. Trust us, in no time, you’ll put a smile on your partner’s face.

4. Text Them Lyrics to Your Favorite Song

Okay, so it might be cheesy, but who cares since they are the only person reading it? Most couples have a romantic song that reminds them of when they first started dating, so if you and your partner have a particular song you both like, make them happy by texting them the first few lyrics or you can send them a link directly to the song. It doesn’t matter if your partner is at the grocery store, getting their oil changed, or at the office, believe us when we tell you that the second they get it, they’ll be beaming with a smile.

5. Surprise Them with a Picnic Lunch

When your partner has a day off you can surprise them by taking them out for a romantic picnic for two. Remember to grab an outdoor blanket and pick a romantic place. There is nothing more romantic than spending the afternoon together enjoying Mother Nature and eating delicious finger foods. Don’t forget to pack your partner’s favorite snacks and their favorite bottle of wine. Can you think of anything more romantic than a picnic? We don’t think so.

6. Help Them Solve a Problem

When you’re feeling down and out because of a problem that you’re facing, doesn’t it feel good to have a partner by your side to help you out? Well, now it’s time to return the favor. If you can, try to come up with a solution that will help your partner with their problem. However, it’s always best to talk about your ideas with them before you act on them; otherwise, you could end up making things worse. Even if your partner declines your help, the fact that you are by their side and offering them support is enough to make them happy.

7. A Food Hunt in the House

Buy all the ingredients to your partner’s favorite meal and hide them in the kitchen. Yes, you heard that right. Then, ask your partner to come into the kitchen and tell them you have put a few items throughout the kitchen that they must find. Set a timer and make sure you give them a few hints if they are not finding them. Once they find several ingredients, make them guess what you plan on making. This idea works excellent for breakfast on the weekends as well as evening meals; after all, you don’t want to stress them out with a scavenger hunt before heading out to work.

8. Candles & Soft Music

If you and your partner have been dating for a while and you’re looking to put a smile on your face, then you can do it with some simple candles. Light up a few candles and put them around the room in safe spots. If it’s light outside, close the windows, put a romantic song on in the background, and call your partner into the room like you need something. When your partner comes into the room, grab them and dance to the music. They will think you’re the most romantic person in the world.

9. Send Them a Romantic Card

Pick a romantic card and write a romantic message for your partner. There is no better way to put a smile on your partner’s face than by letting them know how much they mean to you.

10. Do Something for Them

If your partner works long hours at the office and you want to make them happy, help them unwind. Run the bath, light some candles, and set the tone as though it were a spa. When they come in through the door, tell them the bath is ready for them, pour a glass of champagne, and play some soft music.
